The Songkran Festival is a water-splashing festival held annually during the Lunar New Year in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and other Southeast Asian regions. The festival occurs during the hot time of the year in these countries with consistently hot climates, where people of all ages splash water on each other and the streets drenched.
